My First Tarot Card Reading

Yes, I'm very well aware of how long my absense has been and thank you all for being patient with me. I'm currently going through a difficult time in my life right now and at the moment am unsure as to when I may be able to blog again. I will be blogging again of that you can be certain and it will be within the year. However, at this time I don't even have an estimate as to when I'll be writing up a storm again. So, without further ado I give you my most recent blog post in hopes that you won't forget me.

First, I would like to apologize for not being here to write up stuff about the other Wiccan holidays/festivals when they happened. I've been extremely busy and stressed beyond belief. I also want to mention that I may not be able to post any future holiday information until I'm settled down again (which might not be until the fall or next winter).

Second, this is not going to be an erotic story. I haven't been feeling very rowdy lately and so that imaginative side of my mind is a little worse for wear at the moment.

Lastly, I'm hoping that this specific post won't turn into a rant. This post is about an experience I recently had with a Tarot Card Reader and I have many many opinions about them. So, I'm going to try to keep it to the point and try to get you guys to ask me questions.

Here's my experience...
Yesterday I went out to an appointment I had. On the way home at the last moment the thought to stop by and get my cards read popped into my head. When things like this happen I usually go for it and that's what I did. I hopped off the bus at the very next stop and headed to the one place I know of to get my cards read. Now keep in mind, I have never before in my life had my cards read. I believe in a lot of alternative stuff but just never felt the need to go have my reading done. However, I live in Barrie, Ontario and because I am so pleased with this specific store I'm going to let everyone know who they are.

You can skip this paragraph as it'll probably sound more like an advertisement than anything. The place I stopped in at is called Earth and Sky Connection and they're located at 104 Dunlop Street. The lady I spoke with (I only know her by Jo) was phenominal. If you've never had a reading done before it's a great idea to have a short one first. This way you can get a feel as to whether you're comfortable with it or not. At Earth and Sky Connection with Jo (as I don't know if others have different pricing) it is $65 for a 30 minute reading and $80 for an hour long reading. However, I was told that if I purchased $50 worth of products I'd get a free 15 minute reading. I opted for that as this way I could at least get something I know I would enjoy out of it. I will be going back for an hour long reading before I move, however.

The reading was a 10 card spread. I don't know what it was called (all spreads have a name) but the accuracy she had was just astounding. I had even taken my wedding ring off, not so much to test, but to see if those energies in me would show through in the cards. I will admit I even got a little teary eyed, although that I can't explain as to the reason I was emotional.

The stuff that was already happening wasn't the reason I went though. The real reason I went was to find out if I was making the right decision. Having all the current information stated to me only strengthened my belief in what the cards had to say about my future. Knowing how the cards related to my life right now was very helpful as I learned a very important message. I learned that if I don't let go of all my past issues I'll only imprison myself more within my own mind. That may not seem like a very big message to some but to me it's profoundly enlightening. Because of that message the situation I'm in now is all that much more easy to handle and get through. I highly recommend that everyone has at least one reading done, even if it's only a 15 minute reading. Don't go to just anyone though. You have to feel comfortable with the person you're going to let read your future.

Now, I'd like to know if anyone else has had any tarot card experiences of any sort. Please feel free to leave a your story or any questions you might have below. I'll do my best to answer your questions. If I'm not able to and am unable to find someone who can help me answer them, then I'll let you know.

And thanks again for continuing to read my blog.

Blessed be.
